concerned about the lasting effects of the hard freeze that hit the
state during the first week of 2010.
As of press time, it was still an issue.
To be honest, fears of a
bermuda die-off brought about by the low temperatures won’t go
away until greens start to come back in March.

“The concern is how long it stayed below freezing,” said Bud
White, Mid-Continent Director for the USGA’s Green Section.
“The last big freeze we had was in 1989; we were way overdue.
”
