COM TEXAS LINKS / 51 BY DREW DAVISON Texas Links Staff ARLAND—Australian Katy Jarochowicz had never been to Texas, let alone play golf in the Lone Star State, before teeing it up in late June at this year’s Texas Women’s Open, which was held at Garland’s Eastern Hills Country Club. The lack of local knowledge certainly didn’t show, though, as Jarochowicz won the tournament with a final score of 1-under 139 (69-70) in the 36-hole event. Jarochowicz, who won $3,000, was the only player to finish under-par, as Gun Barrel City’s Adrienne McDonald finished in second at even-par 140. “I just had so much fun out on the course, chatting with all the players, and I really never looked at the leader board until the final hole,” Jarochowicz said. “I just focused on playing the best I could and put together a good round. ” Jarochowicz, who is on a four-month stint in the United States playing in six state am Less
