experiences in Tim Gould’s life.
Gould, 29, worked as the pastor of a church in
Kentucky when, two years ago, his wife landed a promising job as
a nurse coordinator for a new pediatric heart surgery program at
Memorial Hermann Hospital.
Beth Gould moved to Houston while
her husband stayed behind in Kentucky to help his successor at the
church make a smooth transition.
When Gould left the Bluegrass State a month later, he knew he
wouldn’t have a church in Houston at which to work right away,
so Beth started looking for jobs for him as soon as she arrived.
One day she saw a newspaper ad that showed Redstone Golf Club
was looking for caddies.
She knew her husband enjoyed the
game—he’s a high-handicapper without much experience—and
