Three OBU students attended the Southwestern
Psychological Association
Conference to present their
research.
Seniors Rachel
Adamson, Lauren Kinser
and Brittany Beckett presented their research from
Dr.
Roark’s Experimental
Psychology class.
The conference is an
opportunity to present research, meet professionals in the field and learn
from others.
“[The conference] will have some
well-respected professionals in the field come and
do three hour workshops
on teaching different
techniques,” said Kinser.
“They will have different things on getting into
graduate school, and then
a lot of [the conference]
is student researchers and
professors that have done
research over the last year
and they’ve submitted it
and it’s been accepted to
present at conference.
”
Each student researched
and presented a unique
topic.
“I presented research on the effects of
campus activism on student attitudes,” said Adamson.
