As the spring semester
continues in full swing,
the Facilities Management
Department of Oklahoma
Baptist University currently oversees the planning
and implementation of
various construction proposals around the campus
and community.
Director of Facilities
Management Robert Cash
explained that the main
construction currently being completed is in conjunction with the city of
Shawnee.
The city of Shawnee is
installing a water line from
the north side of MacArthur drive to the south side.
“Five or six years ago the
city put in a plastic water
line down that side of the
road, which was the main
feeder for the hospital and
tied the main feeds from
Airport Drive up to University Drive,” Cash said.
“The lines that feed most
of our campus currently
come on to Kickapoo and
down to University.
And
overtime we are going to
switch them over.
”
Cash said that because
the new lines are much
larger, have better pressure
