Vol. 95 Issue 10April 4, 2012 The Student Newspaper of Oklahoma Baptist University Features Grieving in Social Media Arts Kat Hunter Recital Faith Thoughts on Creeds Sports Baseball ChuCk Porter News Editor The SoulForce Equality Ride, an anti-discriminatory advocacy group, came to Shawnee last Wednesday to protest OBU’s policy on human sexuality. “SoulForce, as an organization, is committed to freeing and liberating the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer (LGBTQ) community from spiritual and religious oppression. The Equality Ride is a flagship program,” said Christian Parks, an Equality Ride member who served as the Oklahoma City area coordinator.
