Camatullici : A Celto-Ligurian tribe
lived on the banks of the Gapeau River
at the time of the Roman conquest.

the tribe initially took refuge in the forests
and mountains overlooking
the Bay of Saint-Tropez, then founded
the so-called “Region of Camatullici”
on the site of the current village
of Ramatuelle.

to have replaced the “C” to give
“Ramatullucci”,
