Vacancy Declared for Alderman’s Position

Swofford declared a vacancy
on the council and called for
raises.
Swofford declared an
vacancy in the position held
by Naomi Hall.
Mrs.
Naomi
passed away last week from
complications from anesthesia after suffering a fall in
her home.
Following the executive session, $1 raises were
given to Justin Schinz and
Odie Strong; Police Officer Tony Williams was
raised from $10.
30 to $11
after passing his Part-Time
II class.
Recorder/Treasurer
Judy Southall said that the
city’s audit report was good,
though she received a write
up because they want her
to upgrade the software.
Vines made a motion to purchase the software with Ann
Broach making the second.
The council also granted permission to purchase the
equipment to begin accepting
debit cards.
