The biannual European conference on wave energy gives
an opportunity to assess the status and development of
ocean energy as it presents a snapshot in time that can
be compared to the same conference two years prior, and
in years prior to that.
This summer’s 6th European Wave
and Tidal Energy Conference and side events in Glasgow
show a number of trends when compared with previous
EWEC conferences.
Firstly, the name change that adds Tidal energy recognized the significance of developments in tidal and
marine current technologies in recent years.
