Anyone who has spent time in Dublin, Ireland will know
that the subject of property investments inevitably
crops up at all dinner parties.
I heard a new variation
on this theme at a recent Dublin dinner party; much to
my surprise, I found I was seated next to an investor
in a tidal energy company.
Either the "Celtic Tiger"
has gone mad, or high oil prices, the commercial success
o f w i n d e n e r g y , a n d t h e s e a r c h f o r n e w e n e r g y
alternatives are driving increased interest in ocean
energy projects by private investors.
The same drivers are increasing interest in ocean energy
exploration in countries not yet involved in the IEAOES.
This issue includes articles from two such
countries - Mexico and New Zealand.
