If your system is infected with viruses, spyware, or malware, there are a number of signs or symptoms it
may exhibit but in some cases, you may not even know that your system is infected.
This document outlines
some common symptoms that occur on your PC when it is infected and the best way to resolve it.
System Slowdown: Sometimes an attack of spyware and malware will cause your system to download
more viruses, and over a short period of time you will notice a dramatic drop in the system’s performance.
Browser Homepage: The most common symptom that your browser is infected is when your homepage is
changed into some sort of an ad of anti-spyware program, a company’s promotion wall paper, or a search
site.
In fact, some spyware can also change your system’s registry, which means if you reset your
homepage and turn off your system, the next time you load your browser, the homepage will be changed
again.
