Ways to Handle Different types of scoliosis
Scoliosis has been identified as a medical condition in which the spine gets deformed into
shape of “S” or “C” rather than in a straight line as it normally should be.
One of the
many symptoms of this problem is scoliosis pain.
This health condition could be classified
as:
• Congenital Scoliosis (due to vertebral anomalies at the time of birth)
• Idiopathic Scoliosis (no known cause of occurrence)
• Neuromuscular Scoliosis (consequence of some primary disease like cerebral
palsy, physical trauma, spina bifida, etc)
• Chiari Malformation( a brain malformation)
The most common of the all the above is idiopathic scoliosis.
It sub-categories are
referred to as Infantile Scoliosis (between age birth-3 years), Juvenile Scoliosis (between
age 4-9 years), Adolescent Scoliosis (between age 10-18 years), or Adult Scoliosis
(above 18 years of age), depending upon the point of life it shows an occurrence.
