The International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology (ISUOG) is a scientific22
organization that encourages sound clinical practices, teaching, and research for diagnostic23
imaging in women s health care.
The ISUOG Clinical Standards Committee (CSC) has a remit24
to develop Practice Guidelines and Consensus Statements as educational recommendations25
that provide health care practitioners with a consensus-based approach for diagnostic imaging.

They are intended to reflect what is considered by ISUOG to be currently the best practices at27
the time they were issued.
