HEALTHY BEAUTY FOODS By: Colleen Franklin, Editor-in-Chief The amount of dollars women and some men spend yearly on beauty products and services are astronomical. Wouldn’t you want to know the secret to spending less? The key is not by purchasing less or settling for cheaper brands and services (although cheaper in some cases is better). The key is simple, take better care of yourself internally and the way to do this is by eating foods conducive of achieving a healthier looking exterior. Not only is it expensive, but it is difficult staying beautiful! First, there is the makeup and finding the right brands that compliment your skin minus irritations. There are the monthly spa treatments that aid in keeping our mental intact. Don’t forget about the biweekly hair appointments and the trips to the nail salon. Then there are the three times a week inconsistent visits to the gym. For some there are also the Botox treatments and for others there is the occasional plastic surgery. Al Less
