Second, the external
environment remain to be conducive to growth, particularly in Singapore as the US markets
recovered and the business investments shall be improved by sales and healthy corporate
balance sheets.
Third, there are industry-specific factors such as the manufacturing sectors that
willstrengthen the economic growth in Singapore.
With all these positive cursors, the Ministry of Trade and Industry raised its economy outlook from
4 to 7%.
In Asia Pacific, Singapore remains to be the favorite destination for business
investments.
Its entrepreneurial landscape will even be more attractive as lower taxation rates are
implemented in the Year of Assessment 2011.
