What is a test?
- It is the criteria for measuring students achievement.
It is the way to asses
students knowledge.
- It is a process of collecting data to improve students’ performance.
- It is a way / method of measuring a person’s ability in a given domain.
- A test is an instrument used to measure something for example:
a language test measures a language ability.
It contains: Rubrics, texts, tasks,
items and marking schemes.
Why do we test?
- We test to measure the amount of information and skills acquired by the
pupils and to make educational decisions about students.
