1 Final Report Leadership Training for Women and Youth and Academic Strengthening for Out-ofschool Children Funded by an Emily Sandall Memorial Grant Awarded by the International Initiative to End Child Labor (IIECL) Background Information Child Labor data for El Salvador indicates that 10. 2% of children, mostly in rural areas, are working in the worst forms of child labor. This statistic breaks down into 13. 7% of boys and 6. 5% of girls between the ages of five and 14. Sectors having the largest numbers of children are agriculture with 51 percent and services with 35 percent.
