his is the only on-line journal in the State of
Michigan which specifically speaks to vacancies
and program descriptions in assisted living.
Where possible photos are included.
Our goal is to provide families, case managers, family
caregivers, area agencies on aging along with hospital
and nursing home discharge personnel a glimpse into
what is available along the spectrum of community
based care.
This is an important resource.
Special Notes:
Not all assisted living in Michigan is licensed.
There
are unlicensed models, though they are still expected to operate in accordance with certain standards.
Licensed programs have their licensing criteria and histories on-line at www.
michigan.
gov.
Be careful doing business with a provider who does
not respect regulatory compliance.
The State of
Michigan employs competent licensing consultants
in the Bureau of Child and Adult Licensing who are
literate in all areas of regulatory compliance
