My parenting route was not as I had predicted.
I would like to share my experience in the
hope that another parent may read this and feel not so alone and scared.
To me, Autism is not
a disorder, but a unique way of life.
I did not always feel this way, nor did I foresee that
Autism would be a blessing, not a hindrance, for me.
"Your son has Autism.
" These four words change your life and your whole perception of the
world around you.
If you are like me, I had no idea what those four words meant when I first
heard them.
Part of me wanted to disbelieve.
Part of me wanted to cry.
Part of me was angry.
I was incredibly confused.
However, I was quickly grounded when my dear friend, Linda,
looked at me and questioned why I was crying.
