Spanish Verbs With Spelling Changes – Verbs Ending In Guir
Verbs ending in guir change gu to g in the first person singular in the present tense.
For example, the first person
singular of distinguir (to distinguish) is yo distingo.
Yo distingo una sombra.
The stem of some of these verbs also changes e to i in the first, second, and third person singular and the third
person plural.
There is no stem change in the first person plural or the second person plural.
Look at the
conjugation of conseguir (to attain, to get, to obtain, to succeed in).
