The GSMT have gathered
annually to read the entirety of the Declaration of Independence, since 1793.
New York, US, June 30, 2012 -- The General Society of Mechanics and Tradesmen
announce an Independence Celebration to be held on Monday, July 2, at 7 pm.
The GSMT have gathered annually to read the entirety of the Declaration of
Independence, since 1793.
This July?s ceremony is especially significant
because of the efforts of New York Says Thank You Foundation and the National
9/11 Flag project.
It was General Society Member, Charlie Vitchers, a
construction worker, that rescued the flag from Ground Zero which will journey
across the country before coming to rest at the the National September 11th
Memorial Museum.
The Patriotic Speaker for the evening will be Jeff Parness, Founder and Chairman
of the New York Says Thank You Foundation.
