Abstract
In recent decades, archaeological investigation has increasingly turned its attention to the
study of so-called "cultural landscapes", thus satisfying the need to consider the historical and
archaeological remains and monumental contexts in relation to the natural environment and its
changes that have occurred over the centuries.
