So, September and la
rentrée, does that mean
summer is over? I hope
not, we are enjoying dining
al fresco every day, especially as it means
no crumbs to clear up under the dining
table! We were very fortunate to have
escaped the extreme storms and winds
that I know hit many of you - the damage
to gardens and outbuildings has been
immense in some parts.
We, as a family, had our first sailing
experience this summer, thanks to some
wonderful friends who invited us to stay
on their boat for a couple of nights in the
south of France.
We had a brilliant time
and despite Stu becoming intimately
acquainted with a bucket at one stage, it
hasn t put him off his lifelong ambition of
learning to sail and own a boat one day.
