Bend, Oregon shopping, dining and entertainment district hosts ?Earth Party? to
kick off Trashformations Art Exhibit, Oregon?s largest art-making event
Bend, Oregon, April 01, 2009 -- The Old Mill District today announced that Lahaina
Galleries will be hosting the First Friday ?Earth Party? to kick-off
Trashformations, which is Oregon?s largest art-making event.
The event coincides
with return of Working Wonders Children?s Museum?s ?Parents Night Out? where
children can sign up to participate in a variety of fun activities while parents
check out the art.

WHERE: Lahaina Galleries in the Old Mill District, Bend, Oregon
WHAT: Trashformations Kick Off ? First Friday Earth Party
See what happens when Bend artists are challenged to turn junk into works of art.
Trashformations is the largest art-making event in Oregon.
Participants create art
out of discarded items that are thought by many to be of little or no value.
The
event is held in conjunction with Earth Month and the Earth Day Fair to highlight
recycling, reusing, and most of all rethinking.
It?s fun.
It?s different.
Artists
will show their work during a special Earth Month exhibition within the Old Mill
District from April 3-17.
Bend, Oregon?s Green Energy Bus will be providing free shuttle service between the
Old Mill District, NorthWest Crossing and Bend?s downtown core during the First
Friday gallery walk events.
