Father of 5 beats a field of 25 finalists to become the first Texas winner in
foundation history - just in time for father?s day!
Seattle, WA, June 11, 2009 -- Jack Hodges, from Duncanville Texas, was announced as
the winner of the Fatherhood Foundation?s 2009 Father of the Year Award.
Mr.
Hodges
was nominated by his family, and made it through to the final round which included
25 top nominees.
He was nominated for his tireless work with his children and
grandchildren, which his kids appreciated enough to warrant a nomination during the
2009 submission process in January.
He was also nominated for his years of award
winning civil service, which included thousands of volunteer hours with the First
Baptist Church of Duncanville, ?Citizens On Patrol?, the Katrina response effort,
and more.
His fourth son, Brian Hodges, was pleased with the award.
?After all the years of
him giving his time, focus, and resources, we thought it was fantastic for him to
win this award.
