Nelson Mandela.
He was a peace fighter, this is an article about
his life.
Nelson Mandela was born on July 18, 1918 in Umtata Transkei
and he died on December 5, 2013. Nelson Mandela fought for
peace, against racism.
Nelson Mandela was married 3 times and had got several
children. IN the 1940's he was head of the ANC, however, ANC
was banned by government in 1960. Mr Mandela stayed 18
years in Robben Island prison because he did not respect the
Apartheid laws. But, he had spent 9 years un another prison
before. Before he was released in 1990, his daughter, Zindzi
had read her father's speech to the mob it was his first one !
He was elected president in 1991, he was the first black
president in South Africa. Two years later, he won the Nobel
Peace Prize but in 1999 he retired.
Nelson Mandela is a legend, he is a great fighter for peace. Mr
Mandela was a great man, he won the freedom after years in
prison.
