Covering health, community safety, economy, young people, transport and sustainable neighbourhoods, there’s plenty to talk about! They will be informal events aimed at helping artists interested in work in this field to explore ideas with other agencies; and if you’re a community trying got get your message across, maybe we can help. Jay, from Manchester, is training to be a music production workshop leader, working in and around the city doing music workshops with young people. He has dj-ing experience and is a CD re-mixer with his brother Dread I & Steppa Productions. His ambition is to Artsnet makes it easy Three new members of staff joined CAN in March. So what has regeneration, outputs, leakage and deadweight got to do with arts and culture? Why would anyone trying to improve their health, or community’s safety want to be interested in arts events, or taking part in anything creative? Artsnet’s role is to help artists get to grips with the current neighbourhood renewal process and how it affects you. If you’re worried about your local environment, think your housing can be better, want to feel safer at night then the Community Network for Manchester can link you into networks just like Artsnet to help you out and put you in touch. Neighbourhood renewal activity is directed by the Manchester Strategic Partnership and delivers across 7

Artsnet is for people employed in or interested in arts and culture to engage with the wider strategic issues which affect your work, play and quality of life in the City of Manchester. The network is part of the Community Network for Manchester (CN4M) which is the voice of the community and voluntary sector and links to the Manchester Partnership.
