In the morning we saw the aftermath through a cloud of smoke billowing from the salvager’s remains. Now the invaluable machine was just a pile of twisted and scarred metal scrap, belching black smoke and fire. Our eyes turned to a nearby post Impaled upon the wood was a curious thing, apparently dead and nailed by the broken staff of our metal-man custodian. Somewhat small and seemingly mechanical in nature, it provided only more questions. Was this the thing that destroyed the salvager? Did it alone commit this sabotage? Are there more and will they return to finish the job? And does this creature bear similarites to the beast hinted at in the waterdamaged notes found in the Fissure or is that just this writer’s paranoid imagination? We can only speculate and be grateful that NeoBokrug destroyed it before it could do more harm. For now the Wasteland Salvager is our only remaining means of processing the bits and scraps of our salvage. Initially, some of us stood watch over the remaining salvager but as time passed and no further threat arose, SALVAGER SABOTAGE!
