Well, a recent survey showed that kids who have divorced parents, especially those with ongoing divorce proceedings, are very likely to suffer from low self-esteem, low math scores and a lot of other setbacks. A study from the University of Wisconsin-Madison shows that children of divorce are most likely to suffer from long-term setbacks in their interpersonal, social and math skills.
