Con el propósito de describir las características en responsabilidad legal de casos relacionados con procesos donde se exige responder a instituciones prestadoras de salud (IPS), se analizaron 41 casos de asesorías científicas realizadas entre 1999 y 2006 a instituciones. Se observaron características generales socio demográficas, y específicas de responsabilidad. Las principales dificultades probatorias se presentaron en los registros de historia clínica y el consentimiento informado, reflejadas en los motivos de demanda encontrados.
