Application for The Betty T. Muir Theatre Scholarship The Betty T. Muir Theatre Scholarship was established in 2001 in memory of Elizabeth T. Muir, a professional actress and devoted Lehigh Valley theatregoer who appeared on the Civic stage in 1947 in The First Mrs. Farsier. The scholarship, based on financial need and student essay, provides an opportunity for students to attend Civic Theatre School. The Application Application for a theatre school scholarship consists of the application form, documentation of financial need, and an essay from the potential student. Application Essays Please attach a response to the following questions. All responses should be typed or printed clearly. These responses must be the work of the student himself or herself. Parents may assist younger students (grades one through four) in formulating written responses. 1) Why do you want to attend Civic Theatre School? 2) What do you think you’ll get from the program?
