The Success – Effect Mystery Unveiled Life Coaching & Personal Development - Success is an arbitrary word which means something different to each person. Regardless of the meaning we place on success, it is something that we are all familiar with in varying degrees. Throughout our life, we’ve experienced incremental successes along the way. As children we may have made the honor roll or done well on a sports team. As we got older, success continued but likely shifted to social arenas. Your first date or first kiss may have been a success and when you passed your driver’s license exam. Then, as we approached early adulthood, success meant something different… college acceptance, college grades, new boyfriend or girlfriend, a car, a job, a new position, etc. Have you noticed that some of your successes generate negative emotions from your closest friends? This is the ”success-effect”! At the same time, some of your biggest successes seem to generate none of these emotions; no succ

The Cause of Unhappiness! Life Coaching - “The primary cause of unhappiness is never the situation, but your thoughts about it. ” — Eckhart Tolle. This quote is so true but it brings up an interesting point. If thoughts are really in control of our happiness, what are they and how do they control us? It has been said so many times, and in so many ways, that your thoughts are things thathave a profound impact on your life. This isn’t just a philosophical idea. Thoughts themselves are measurable. Brain activity and testing have revealed that thoughts have a very specific frequency that can be measured with the right equipment. Every time you have a thought, a pulse of energy travels through a network of neurons in your brain. Of course, the question remains – how is this pertinent to our lives? Science has not yet discovered all of the interworking of the mind and the brain. It is a realm of knowledge that is still largely unexplored though progress is being made. There are two

Behind the Mynd – Selfish Vs. Self-Centered I have seen all types and styles of sales training and techniques. But, the truth is, there are only two types of trainings that can ever be given to a sales team to improve closing ratios (the number of presentations made vs. the number of sales made). The first is product (or service) training and the second is personal development training. The first type of training is relatively straight forward and easy to implement. You can have an intricate product that has thousands of moving parts or you could provide a complex service involving finance, real estate, taxation, or legal matters but no matter the product or service, it is simple to mold a training program. To do this, you simply need to understand what the product or service is, what is important to the customer when making their decisions, and what information the sales person will want to have in order to fulfill the customers’ needs. This is very clear in terms of ‘need to

Direction Vs Magnitude “It may be a very small circumstance, but it is the direction and not the magnitude that is to be taken into consideration. ” – Genevieve Behrend This quote was taken from a powerful work of Genevieve Behrend called “Your Invisible Power. ” She explains that once you clearly identify your “ideal conception” or vision for your life you can rest assured the initial conditions needed to realize that vision are either already in your life or will soon come into view. When a condition arises that requires action, simply act in accordance with that vision. It is at this point the quote referenced above becomes pertinent. What exactly does she mean by this? When talking about living our vision, Personal development, Life coaching and achieving our goals, we often take the stance that everything has to line up perfectly before we can embark on our journey. As though all the traffic lights were required to be green for us to leave our driveways. It is an all too comm

Inventing your Personal Brand Personal Development - Today, change occurs at a pace faster than ever before. In fact, things are shifting so fast, we believe it is reasonable to say, “If you and your business aren’t building a presence online, then you will flat-line. ” Online changes happen even faster than in the real world. Interestingly, in terms of a business model, these changes are happening in a direction that is more like that of pre-industrial age business than the business model that has been prevalent for the past 60-100 years. Think of business years ago. John owned a blacksmith shop and he attracted customers because in his town, John’s reputation was good. Notice that it wasn’t “Blacksmithing, LLC” that had a good reputation but John himself. When people came into town, and asked about a blacksmith, they found out about John. Business was more about people doing business with people in those days. Due to technology and the Internet, business is once again becomin

Increasing Income without goiny Crazy Personal Development - You’ve probably heard that you shouldn’t put all of your eggs in one basket. This is especially true when it comes to income. Do you have all of your eggs in one basket? To answer this, you have to understand the difference between “different baskets” and just putting “more eggs in the same basket. ” A basket is a type of vehicle you use to accomplish something. When we are talking about income baskets, we’re talking about things like jobs, businesses, investments, etc. Each of these is a different basket. So if you were to have a job and invest in stocks, you have eggs in different baskets. However, getting a second job is putting more eggs in the same basket. This fact is particularly relevant when you consider that 96% of all Americans procure their entire income from one or two jobs. The majority of people have been taught that having a good job, with maybe an extra one on the side will provide comfortable life.

What Does Personal Development Affect The personal development industry is an important one and yet, many people don’t recognize the need for it in their life. Maybe it is the perception they have about personal development or maybe they just are not aware of the possibilities for themselves. These are both true for some people. It seems though, the biggest misunderstanding people have is the affect personal development has on our life… on every aspect of our life. Luckily, as you read further, you will never have this misunderstanding again. From the beginning of your life, development has been key to your growth and accomplishments. When you were a newborn, brain and thought function was developing. Then as an infant, it was your hand eye coordination in development. The development of the muscles and bones allowed you to walk as a toddler. The process didn’t end there though. Around 5 you began the process of developing your social skills in school. This is completely nat

The Missing Ingredient For Goals Life Coaching - A goal is defined as the achievement towards which an endeavor is directed; an objective. Fairly self-explanatory and most people understand this concept. Yet, goals are also elusive for many people and that’s what we want to explore here. Why are simple concepts such as goals, goal setting, and goal achievement so elusive for so many? To answer this question, we must first explore the context in which a goal is set, and contrast that with the context in which it is set, by successful achievers from all walks of life. Many people have goals set for them by their family, employer, and other outside forces. In addition, it is common that individuals set goals they know they must achieve in order to fulfill some kind of obligation. What is missing in this picture? Passion is missing; a burning desire to accomplish the goal. We never accomplish goals that we are not passionate about. Instead, life usually finds a way to interfere. S
