Four conference player of the year awards. Thirty-three C-USA Player of the Week honors. These are just a few of the accomplishments attained by the five members of The University of Tulsa volleyball senior class. When Head Coach Steven McRoberts took over the Tulsa volleyball squad last year, he didn’t realize how critical the then-junior class was to the success of the program. “I knew that the program had been having a lot of success before I arrived,” commented McRoberts. “I just didn’t know the talent that this group had. ” The senior class entered the 2012 campaign with 85 victories and a winning percentage of . 833. “They are used to winning and expect to win, so that helps a lot,” McRoberts said. “They have played against multiple teams that have been to Final Fours. The regional will be held at the Northern Illinois University North 40 course, and will be the first 10,000-meter race the team has ran this year. About The Meet: Drake will compete this weekend against 32 other teams from the Midwest Region including schools from the states of Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma and South Dakota.
